Jurell (Waters) Wainwright

Jurell W. Wainwright, age 87, of Baxley passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at her residence.

Mrs. Wainwright was born July 17, 1936 in Glennville to the late Charles Foster Waters and the late Dollie Branch Waters. She was employed as a bookkeeper for Lewis Brothers Manufacturing and was a member of First Baptist Church of Baxley. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bernard Wainwright, and a son, Chris Wainwright.

She is survived by two sons and three daughters-in-law, Greg & Robin Wainwright of Grovetown, Kip & Tami Wainwright of Baxley, and Vicki Wainwright of Norman Park; five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 1:00PM at First Baptist Church with Rev. Fred Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in Omega Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren: Jordan Wainwright, Benjamin Wainwright, Ashley Wainwright, Amber Wainwright, Sean Wainwright, and Abbie Tucker.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 1, 2024 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Swain Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church P.O. Box 346, Baxley Georgia 31515.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
