Emory Wheeler Sellers

 Emory Wheeler Sellers, age 82, of Baxley passed away Saturday, February 16, 2019 at his residence under the care of Comfort Care Hospice.

Mr. Sellers was born February 4, 1937 in Bacon County to the late Ernest W. Sellers and the late Olya Mae Poole Sellers. He attended Friendship Congregational Christian Church and was retired from Hazlehurst Mills and was a farmer.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Shirley Y. Sellers of Baxley; daughter & son in law, Becky & David Brue of Baxley; sisters, Kathryn Walton of Pooler & Joyce Reynolds of McCaysville. Several nieces, nephews and two granddogs, Jabo & T. J.  

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 18, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Williamson, Dr. Hugo Hammond & Rev. Justin McLellan officiating.

Interment will follow in Omega Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers will be James Yarbrough, Larry Yarbrough, Randy Branch, Alvin Walton, Daniel Walton, Donald Walton & David Walton.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Larry Boatright, Steve Wynn, Lonnie Wooten, Wayne Crosby, Ricky Branch, Richie & Judy Williams, Billy Eason, John & Julie Nail, Jesse & Bea Bowling, Buddy Dubberly, Chris Floyd, Ed Tharpe, John Lewis, Ernesto Ramirez, & Terri Westberry.

Visitation will be Sunday evening, 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., at Swain Funeral Home.

Arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
