Herman Long Obituary

Herman Ray Long, age 75, of Baxley passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2018.

Mr. Long was born July 7, 1942 in Miracle, Kentucky to the late Joe Long and the late Ethel Cup Long. Mr. Long retired from the Appling County Board of Education. He also taught at Altamaha Technical College, Brewton Parker College, Waycross College and GED Classes for the Appling County Sheriff’s Office.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Nancy Long of Baxley; son, Jon Long of Baxley; four sisters, Mary McKinney, Bobbie Haglund, Patsy Estell & Linda Madden; two brothers, Kenneth Long and Douglas Long. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
