Ruth Ann Hart Hollis

Ruth Ann Hart Hollis, age 54, of Baxley died Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah.

Mrs. Hollis was born January 21, 1965 in Bacon County and was a member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church. She was a licensed professional counselor who touched the lives of many children and was a former employee of the Georgia Baptist Children’s Home.  Mrs. Hollis had a colorful, bubbly personality and never met a stranger. She was preceded in death by her father, David C. Hart, paternal grandparents, Lacy Hart, Ora Lee Sellers and maternal grandparents, Alton “Bogie” Carter & Benez Hart.

Survivors include her husband, Roger Hollis of Baxley; daughter, Morgan Yawn & husband, Seth of Baxley & a step daughter, Brandi Carter & husband, Ryan of Baxley; step son, Timothy Hollis of Baxley; mother, Manda Ruth Hart of Baxley; sister, Lana Clark & husband, Clay of Baxley; grandchildren, Rylee Tanner, Ryver Tanner & Remlee Yawn and step grandchildren, Khloe Hollis, Jaydon Hollis and Savannah Sellers and nieces, Kallie Taylor & husband Chris and Madison Aspinwall. A special friend Jennifer Luke also survives.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. David Barber, Rev. Wayne Williamson, Rev. James Minick and Rev. Rick Brown officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Active Pallbearers will be Carter Cauley, Dane Clements, Ed Hart, Daniel Brooks Carter, Clay Clark and Chris Taylor.

Honorary Pallbearers will be all friends in attendance.

Visitation will be Friday evening 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Swain Funeral Home.
