Anthony Norris Parlor

Anthony Norris Parlor, age 71, of Baxley passed away Saturday, June 17, 2023 at his residence under the care of Comfort Care Hospice.

Mr. Parlor was born on November 29, 1951 in Jeff Davis County to the late Talmadge and Millie (Crawford) Parlor.  He was a maintenance mechanic at Americord for 23 years and retired from Lawter after 18 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to go fishing and hunting and was a member of Buckeye Hunting Club. He was a member of Oakland Baptist Church. His true passion in life was his children and grandchildren, whom he counted as his greatest blessings. Mr. Parlor was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara McLaughlin.

Survivors include his wife, Lataine Parlor of Baxley; daughters, Amy (Joey) Coleman of Baxley and Anna (Michael) Rush of Hazlehurst; sister, Danice (Ashley) Smiley of Hazlehurst; and seven grandchildren, Ty Smith, Kori Coleman, Layton Coleman, Garrison Coleman, Hunter (Houston) Viterbo, Tucker (Jamie) Hoff and Hannah Hoff.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 19, 2023, at 11:00AM at Oakland Baptist Church in Hazlehurst with Rev. Royce Hulett and Rev. Joey Andrews officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Garrison Coleman, Layton Coleman, Chandler Young, Austin Young, Clay Crosby, and Tucker Hoff.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the staff of Comfort Care Hospice and members of the Buckeye Hunting Club.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
