Betty Eason Langer

Betty Jean Eason Langer, age 91, of Hollywood, Florida, passed away Monday, September 11, 2023.

Betty was the daughter of Lois and Julia Eason and granddaughter of George and Lizzie Eason. She was born October 15,1931 in Surrency, Georgia. She graduated from Surrency High School and continued to receive a Bachelor of Science in Education from Georgia Teachers College of the University System of Georgia.

Betty was married to John S. Langer in December 1959. They were married 56 years.

Betty worked as a teacher for the Dade County School System for 34 years. She enjoyed animals of any kind and had multiple birds and dogs.

Betty is survived by her brothers, George and Curtis Eason, Multiple nephews and nieces and friends.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband, John and multiple sisters and a brother.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, September 21, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Surrency, Georgia. 

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
