Brenda Merida Garrison

Brenda Merida Garrison, age 78, of Baxley passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Coffee Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Garrison was born May 24, 1943 in Laurens County to the late Warren Smith and the late Lucille Fordham Smith.  She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husbands, Dr. Manuel M. Merida and Walter W. Garrison.

Survivors include her daughters & sons in law, Patrisa & Larry Overstreet of Surrency and Michelle & Jeff Deen of Baxley; a son & daughter in law, Lee & Amanda Merida of Baxley. Four grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 23, 2021 at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in Omega Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers will be Aaron Beckworth, Bryon Courson, Dennis Stevens, Larry Parker & Frank Howell.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Swain Funeral Home.  

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
