Clara Arlene Futch

Clara Arlene Futch, age 81, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021at the Bacon County Hospital.  

Mrs. Futch was born June 2, 1940 in Alma, Michigan to the late Lawrence Snell and the late Gertrude Gould Snell.  She was a member of Sand Hill Creek Free Will Baptist Church and retired as a baker from the East Elementary School, Punta Gorda, Florida. Mrs. Futch was preceded in death by a son, John Futch and a brother, Walter Snell.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Richard W. Futch of Baxley; daughter, Connie Scott of Florida; sons and a daughter in law, Wesley & Judith Futch of West Virginia and Donald A. Futch of Nichols; sister, Joyce Cochran of Baxley. Ten grandchildren, Paul, David, Richard, Tristan, Hunter, Melissa, Damien, Katie, Mary Beth and Ashley and nine great grandchildren also survive.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Sand Hill Creek Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Ferguson officiating.

Due to Covid-19, all attendees are asked to please follow the rules of social distancing and face masks are recommended at the service. Also, anyone that does not feel comfortable with attending the service, the family would like you to know they understand and covet your prayers.
