Edwin Marshal "Ed" Lashley

Edwin Marshal “Ed” Lashley, age 79, of Baxley died Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at his residence under the care of Spanish Oaks Hospice.

Mr. Lashley was born October 30, 1942 in Montezuma to the late Urban Stephen Lashley and the late Odessa Moncrief Lashley.  He was a Business Agent with the Carpenter’s Union and was a Mason & a Shriner.  He was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Wade Lashley.  

Survivors include his wife, Wilhelmina Lashley of Baxley; daughters & son-in-law, Sonia &Craig Eason, Carla Funkhouser McLendon and Andy Funkhouser all of Baxley; daughter-in-law, Christy Lashley of Baxley; sisters, Brenda Carver of Pridgen and Marie Gilliland of Wetumpka, AL; brother, Bobby Lashley of Pearson; and eight grandchildren and several great- grandchildren also survived.

A graveside service will be held Friday, April 1, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Bryan Gill officiating.

Active pallbearers will be Sam Altman, Wayne Courson, Stanley Davis, Glynn Pearce, Randy Livingston and Lawrence Proctor.

Honorary pallbearers will be Charlotte Jackson, Gwen Jackson, Simone Vann-White, Dr. Errol G. Graham and Matt Hodges.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
