Edwina Jones Steverson Obituary

Edwina  Lamb Jones Steverson, age 55, of Baxley passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Southeast Georgia Health System in St. Mary’s.

Mrs. Steverson was born September 20, 1965 in Jesup to the late Alton “Al” Lamb and the late Hazel Coursey Lamb. She was a beloved and devoted nurse, having worked at Appling Healthcare System, Memorial Medical Center, Meadows Regional Medical Center, and Canoochee EMC during her 25 year career. Mrs. Steverson was a member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Tommy Steverson of Baxley; son and daughter-in-law, Blake & Chelsey Jones of Baxley; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Kristen & David Attaway of Dublin; stepsons and daughters-in-law, Brad & Amanda Steverson of Fitzgerald and Brett & Keri Steverson of Waycross; sister and brother-in-law, Becky & Cotton Murray of Baxley; special neice, Karrie (Tony) Carter of Baxley; nephew Brian (Rhonda) Murray of Bonaire; and grandchildren, Allyson Jones, Brantley Jones, Morgan Jones, Bella Steverson, Braylee Steverson, and Conner Attaway also survive.

A private graveside service will be held at Zion Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Brad Park, Rev. James Minick, and Elder Tommy Kelly officiating.

Active pallbearers will be Adam Osteen, Colby Carter, Blake Jones, Brian Murray, Jared Murphy, and Ricky Black.
