Henry Leon Crosby

Henry Leon Crosby, age 70, of Baxley passed away Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah.

Mr. Crosby was born October 5, 1950 in Appling County to the late George Crosby and the late Thelma Martin Crosby.  He was retired from Riceland Incorporated and was preceded in death by his sisters, Dorene Nash, Velma McKenzie and brothers, Otto Crosby, Walter Crosby and Jackson Crosby.  

Survivors include his daughters & sons in law, Beth & Jason Jarrells of Fleming and Cindy & Tommy Knight of Brunswick; son, Chris Crosby of Flowery Branch; sisters, Ann Woodcock of Statesboro, Bessie Sykes of Oak Park, IL, Vinney Boatright of Baxley, Thelma Meeks of Waycross, Lee Calanni of Cleveland, OH and Jeanell Steed of Philadelphia, TN; brothers, George Crosby and Steve Crosby of Baxley and Berry Crosby of Vidalia. Granddaughters, Ashlyn Smith, Calyn Kersey and McKenzie Knight also survive.  

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 26, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. at Satilla Baptist Church with Rev. G. L. Keene and Rev. Scottie Pitts officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Chris Crosby, Jason Jarrells, Kenneth Leker, Matthew Keene and Jade Smith.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
