Jake Smith Obituary

 

Jake Dillon Smith, age 19, of Baxley, died Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Augusta University Medical Center.

 

Jake was born March 20, 2001 in Appling County and was a member of Red Oak Baptist Church.  He was a welder at JAC  Industrial Maintenance and was preceded in death by his grandparents, Brenda Madan and Ronnie Brooker; great grandparents, Joe Smith, Sr., Bonnie Beecher, Jake Beecher; and aunt, Liana Sutton.

 

Survivors include his mother & step father, Christine & Michael Meyer of Nahunta; father & step mother, Joe & Christian Smith of Baxley; sisters, Kaylee Smith & Antwon Jackson, Payton Smith & Colby Sellers all of Baxley, Harley & Lindsey Thompson of Jacksonville, FL, Brooke Hallman of Baxley & Molly (Brock) Oliver of Nahunta; brothers, Cody Hallman of Baxley and Morgan Meyer of Nahunta; grandparents, Andy & Carolyn Smith and Lisa Beecher Sutton & Steve Sutton all of Baxley; great grandmother, Nola Smith of Baxley; nephew, Tucker Hallman and nieces, Bristol Jackson, Sutton Sellers, Brynlei Hallman, Preslee Mikell and Reese Oliver. Several aunts, uncles, & cousins also survive.

 

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at 10:00 am at Red Oak Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ron Ross, Rev. Brian Brazzell and Rev. Robbie Gill officiating.

 

Active Pallbearers will be Hunter Trantham, Ulise Rubio, Mason Collins, Triston Embry, Tyler Jones, Ethan Johnson, Chase Lane & Austin Castille.

 

Honorary Pallbearers will be all in attendants.

 

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
