Jeffery Michael Carter

Jeffery Michael Carter, age 57, of Baxley passed away Monday, January 30, 2023 at his residence.

Mr. Carter was born on January 15, 1966 in Bacon County and was a millwright with West Fraser.  He was a member of Sand Hill Creek Free Will Baptist Church. Mr. Carter was a devoted family-man who loved his wife and daughter immensely. 

Mr. Carter was preceded in death by a son, Michael Allen Carter; fathers, Lowe Nasworthy and Tharian “Pete” Carter; father-in-law, Rev. Ronnie Litton; a sister, Rhonda Carter; and his grandparents.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Sabrina Carter of Baxley; his daughter and his pride and joy, Olivia Carter of Baxley; mother, Mary Carter of Hamilton; brother, John Carter of Palm Bay, Florida; mother-in-law, Roxie Litton of Baxley; sister-in-law, Stephanie (Steven) Allen of Baxley; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 2, 2023 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Jerome Granade and Rev. Joe Ferguson officiating. Interment will follow in Omega Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Steven Allen, Hunter Allen, Charlie Driggers, Shaver Lightsey, John Carter and Brian Hollingsworth.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Swain Funeral Home.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
