Jeffrey Carl "Snap" Baxley

Jeffrey Carl “Snap” Baxley, age 64, of Baxley passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021 at his residence under the care of Hospice of South Georgia.

Mr. Baxley was born February 23, 1957 in Appling County to the late Ollie Carl Baxley and the late Ruby Dell Branch Baxley.  He was a member of Spring Branch Baptist Church and was a retired truck driver for Miles Brothers Timber. Mr. Baxley was preceded in death by a daughter, Sarah Amanda Baxley.

Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Wynn Baxley of Baxley; son, Preston H. Baxley of Baxley; sister, Gina & Miles Vaughn and brother, Jerry & Gail Baxley both of Baxley. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Carter’s Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Active pallbearers will be Asher Aycock, Chancey Vaughn, Chase Vaughn, John Andrew Craven, Joel McKinnon, Caleb Googe and Jesse Googe.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy & Connie Miles & employees of Miles Brothers Timber, Pat White, Wink & Emma Branch, Eddis & Anita Carter, Ronnie Lewis and Jackie & Christine Yeomans and Earl Carter.
