John E. "Jes" Sutton

John Edgar “Jes” Sutton, age 43, of Grovetown passed away Monday, January 17, 2022 at his residence.

Mr. Sutton was born June 27, 1978 in Brunswick to the late Michael Allen “Mike” Sutton and the late Louise “Lucy” Rittenhouse Sutton. He was an Academy Stocking Coach at Evans Wal-Mart Supercenter and a member of Melton’s Chapel United Methodist Church. Mr. Sutton was a graduate of Appling County High School Class of 1996 and was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Sutton.

Survivors include his sister-in-law, Regina Michelle Sutton of Baxley; nephew, Matthew Michael Sutton; and niece, Sarah Michelle Sutton.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 21, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Melton’s Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Gary Page officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Active & Honorary pallbearers will be his co-workers and friends from Evans Wal-Mart Supercenter.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Gideon’s International (P.O. 403 Baxley, Georgia 31515).

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
