Joseph Ashley King

Joseph Ashley King, age 44, a native of Appling County and a resident of Palm Bay, Florida, died Sunday, October 3, 2021 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Mr. King was born December 19, 1976 to the late Mark Leon King, Jr. and the late Miriam O’Neal Campbell King and was an ironworker. He loved the Lord, was Pentecostal by faith and attended Bethel Abundant Life Apostolic Church.  Joseph also loved to socialize and enjoyed the outdoors and bike riding.

Survivors include his daughter & son-in-law, Brandi Nicole & Taylor Walker of Augusta; son, Bryson Anderson King; sister, Kelly Wood of Baxley; brothers & sister-in-law, Mark Leon, III & Shonna King and James Andrew King both of Baxley; and grandchildren, Rayleigh Walker and Asher Walker of Augusta.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 11, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Josh Tillman officiating.  

Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Matthew King, Josh King, Mark King, Dustyn King, Dylan Lee and Shawn Lee.

Visitation will be Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Swain Funeral Home.
