Larry Allen Britt

Larry Allen Britt, age 76, of Baxley went to his Heavenly home Monday, September 11, 2023 at Memorial Health Meadows in Vidalia.

Mr. Britt was born November 19, 1946 in Appling County to the late Clinton Britt and the late Edith Kennedy Britt.  He was a member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church and a member of the Holmesville Masonic Lodge.  Mr. Britt was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a retired Sears Merchant and was a Manitowoc Ice Machine salesman and serviceman. Mr. Britt was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Britt, and his grand-dog, Wiley Britt.

Survivors include his wife, Janey Butler Britt of Baxley; daughter, Angela (Ted) Morris of Eulonia; son, Scott (Julie) Britt of Baxley; sisters, Annette (Tony) Douglas and Anita Thrower both of Baxley, and Alethia (Jeff) Zadach of Savannah; brother, Benny (Mary) Britt of Monroe; brother-in-law, Bruce (Sandra) Butler of Baxley; two grandchildren, Jakeb Butler Britt, and Emma Grace Britt of Baxley.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 14, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Vernon Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Brown, Rev. Tommy Daniels, and Rev. Parker Roberts officiating.  Entombment will follow in Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Jake Butler Britt, Gene Butler, Tim Butler, Jeff Butler, Casey Courson and Barry Rentz.

Honorary pallbearers will be The Encouragers Sunday School Class of Mount Vernon Baptist Church, Melvin & Pam Bratcher, Dwight & Janice Courson, Charles & Eileen Stone, Freda Gruber, Jimmy Dubberly, Nava Powers, Brenda Murray, and Jeff Herrington.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the time of service at the church.

In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to Mount Vernon Baptist Church P.O. Box 1012, Baxley, GA 31515.
