Lawanda Carter Reynolds

Lawanda Carter Reynolds, age 63, of Baxley, died Saturday, August 13, 2022 at her residence.

Mrs. Reynolds was born November 26, 1958 in Appling County to the late Elmer Carter and the late Erris Bullard Hopkins.  She was a member of Spring Branch Baptist Church and was a seamstress at Douglas & Harper.  Mrs. Reynolds was preceded in death by her grandparents, Willis & Ethel Carter, Maggie Bullard Crosby, and sister, Nita Walsh.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Bill Reynolds of Baxley; son, Jason (Nikki) Reynolds of Baxley; daughters, Christy (Robert) Bush and Mary Newell all of Baxley; brother, Ronnie Carter of Baxley. Four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 15, 2022 at 10:00 am from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Justin McLellan and Rev. Rick Brown officiating. 

Interment will follow in Moody Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Wayne Carter, Davy Reynolds, James Reynolds, Wendell Bullard, Jacob Reynolds, Robert Bush, Ricky Hardwick, Clay Beasley and Quinton Hall.

Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Douglas & Harper and all friends in attendance.

Visitation will be Sunday evening 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Swain Funeral Home.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
