Loretta Shumans Smith, age 63, of Baxley passed away Sunday, June 18, 2023 at her residence.
Mrs. Smith was born July 16, 1959 in Jeff Davis County to the late Wadis Shumans and the late Velma Chavis Shumans. She was co-owner of Rozier Apiaries. She loved anything outdoors, whether it was fishing or working. She also enjoyed hunting for arrowheads.
Survivors include her husband, Marc Smith of Baxley; daughters, Colleen Smith, Elizabeth Hughes, and Gabby Smith all of Baxley; sons, Jerry Rozier and K’leb Hughes both of Baxley; sisters, Doris Floyd of Baxley, and Kathy Johnson of Umapilla, FL; brothers, Glenn Shumans and Ricky Shumans both of Hazlehurst. Eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Page officiating with eulogies by her family and friends.
Interment will be at a later date.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
