Manda Ruth (Carter) Hart

Manda Ruth Carter Hart, age 80, of Baxley passed away Saturday, August 12, 2023 at her residence under the care of Regency Southern Care Hospice.

Mrs. Hart was born August 11, 1943, in Baxley, GA. She was a homemaker and a member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Hart loved working on the farm and working in her yards.  Her greatest passion was spending time with family and those she loved.  She was preceded in death by her husband, David Hart; daughter, Ruth Ann Hart Hollis; parents, Benez Hart, Alton “Bogie” Carter and step-father, Lacy Hart; and sister, Aldine Clements.

Survivors include her daughter, Lana (Clay) Clark of Baxley; brother, Brookie (Pam) Carter of Baxley; grandchildren, Morgan (Seth) Yawn, Kallie (Chris) Taylor of Baxley, Madison Aspinwall (Justin Beggs) all of Baxley; great grandchildren, Rylee Tanner, Ryver Tanner, Remlee Yawn, and Kenedi Taylor. She is also survived by one very special companion and friend, her dog, Shelby.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at 11:00 am at Zion Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Williamson officiating. Visitation will be held in the church one hour prior to service time.

Active pallbearers will be Edwin Hart, Dane Clements, Daniel Carter, Owen Herrington, Seth Yawn, Chris Taylor, and Justin Beggs.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Women’s Sunday School Class at Zion Missionary Baptist Church, her caregiver, Angie Taylor, and the staff of Regency Southern Care Hospice.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
