Margaret Westberry

Margaret Westberry, age 71, of Monroe, passed away Monday, August 14, 2023 at Piedmont Health in Monroe.

Mrs. Westberry was born October 29, 1951 in Wayne County to the late Euel Wesley Phillips and the late Lona Bell Waters Phillips.  She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and was a seamstress.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Westberry is preceded in death by her husband, Duane Westberry.

Survivors include her daughter, Barbie Rosevear of Monroe, and a grandson, Nelson Blalock of Monroe.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church in Wayne County with Rev. Kevin Johnson and Rev. Chris Ogden officiating.

Active pallbearers will be Jared Flowers, Javan Flowers, Rodney Phillips, Jeffery Griffin, Charles Mimbs and Nelson Blalock.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
