Marie Boyd Davis

Marie Boyd Davis, age 97, of Baxley passed away Saturday, May 20, 2023 at The Pavilion.

Mrs. Davis was born September 11, 1925 in Wayne County to the late Lot Boyd and the late Mamie Kirkland Boyd Lewis. She was a homemaker and a member of Riverside Baptist Church.  Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Davis, Sr., son-in-law, John Stone, and a brother, Robert Boyd.

Survivors include her daughters & son-in-law, Vivian & Robert Duvall and Helen Stone, and son & daughter-in-law, Jack, Jr. & Guynell Davis.  Four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 21, 2023 at 3:00 pm at Riverside Baptist Church with Rev. Justin McLellan officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Kevin Duvall, Jimmy Wayne Davis, Ricky Davis, Michael Davis, Keith Davis and Mike Luke.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Senior Adult Sunday School Class of Riverside Baptist Church and all friends in attendance.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Riverside Baptist Church.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
