Marsha (Crummey) Turner

Marsha Crummey Turner, age 69, of Baxley, passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross.

Mrs. Turner was born August 22, 1951 in Baxley to the late Jessie Mattox Crummey, Jr. and the late Willie Mae Purvis Crummey. She was a retired registered nurse and director of nursing with Visiting Nurses Association and Altamaha Home Healthcare and was a member of Mount Vernon Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Lamar Turner of Baxley; daughter and son-in-law, Erin and Adam Thomas of Baxley; son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Somer Turner of Lumber City; sisters, Brenda Hardwick of Baxley and Sherrie Hinson of Reidsville; and grandchildren, Lexi Turner, Hayden Turner, Samantha Turner, Jebb Thomas, Rett Thomas, Kurt Thomas, and Luke Thomas.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 19, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Mount Vernon Baptist Church with Rev. Darrell Quinn, Rev. Rick Brown, and Adam Thomas officiating.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Allen Turner, Scotty Turner, Kevin Hardwick, Chris Reynolds, Casey Courson, and Chris Courson.

Honorary pallbearers will be her Sunday School Class at Mount Vernon Baptist Church and the employees of Altamaha Home Healthcare.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Mount Vernon Baptist Church.

Remembrances may be made to Mount Vernon Baptist Church (459 GW Turner Road Baxley, GA 31513).

Everyone in attendance is asked to please abide by COVID-19 precautions by wearing a mask and social distancing.
