Mike Serrano

Mike Serrano, age 65, of Baxley passed away Saturday, October 28, 2023 at South Georgia Health System in Brunswick.

Mike was born November 29, 1957 in Los Angeles, California. He was a retired PE teacher, health teacher, and coach at the Appling County Board of Education for thirty years.  Mike was preceded in death by a brother, Louis F. Serrano.

Survivors include his parents, Miguel A. & Doris M. Serrano of Orlando, FL; brother, Joey Serrano of Orlando, FL; a nephew, Sebastian A. Serrano; and special friends, Andy Newsome, Donnie Sikes, Jr., David & Phillis Newsome, and Sidney Wildes.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 2, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Brown officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Swain Funeral Home.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
