Norma Faye (Deen) Miles

Norma Faye Deen Miles, age 80, of Baxley, died Friday, December 18, 2020 at her residence.

Mrs. Miles was born July 7, 1940 in Appling County to the late John Herbert Lamar Deen, Sr. and the late Inez Violet Kilgore Deen. She was the Chief Financial Officer at J M Miles Construction, Inc. Mrs. Miles was a member of Red Oak Baptist Church where she was an active member of the Senior Adult Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Baxley Lions Club.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Miles was preceded in death by her husband, J. Merrell Miles and her brother, John Herbert Lamar Deen, Jr.

Survivors include her daughter & son-in-law, Redonnia & Jamie Jackson of Brunswick; son & daughter-in-law, Keith & Jada Miles of Baxley; three sisters, Violet Williams, Carolyn (Van) Mills, and Connie Deen, all of Baxley; three grandchildren, James Gabriel Jackson, William Keith Miles, & Sarah Elisabeth Jackson; and many nieces and nephews also survive.

A graveside service will be held Monday, December 21, 2020 at Red Oak Baptist Church Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Robbie Gill and Pastor Jamie Jackson officiating.

Active Pallbearers will be Van Mills, Jr., Matthew Mills, Kevin Williams, Reggie Miles, Chris Williams, and C.D. Williams.

Honorary Pallbearers are the Senior Adult Sunday School Class of Red Oak Baptist Church, the Class of 1958 of Appling County High School, and the Baxley Lions Club.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Remnant Church Building Fund (4429 New Jesup Highway, Brunswick, GA 31520).

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
