Robert Joseph Canfield

Robert Joseph Canfield, age 80, of Adel passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Pruitt Health Holly Hill in Valdosta.

Mr. Canfield was born October 1, 1939 in Dubuque, Iowa to the late William Gurnee “Bus” Canfield and the late Virginia Helen Kohn Canfield.  He was a veteran of the United States Navy and was retired as Vice President of First Franklin Financial.  Mr. Canfield was preceded in death by his wife, Sherma Louise Richardson Canfield.

Survivors include his daughter & son in law, Lori & Bill Pagels of Moultrie; son & daughter in law, Bob & Kendra Canfield of Adel; sisters, Gail Thompson of and Sandy Adams both of Iowa; brothers, Bill Canfield of Texas and Glenn Canfield of Iowa. Eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survived.

A graveside service will be held Saturday at 10:00 am at Omega Cemetery with Rev. Rick Brown officiating.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
