Ruby Pearl (Johns) Gore

Mrs. Ruby Pearl Johns Gore, age 87, of Baxley passed away early Friday morning, October 14, 2022 at her residence under the care of Comfort Care Hospice.

Mrs. Gore was a native of Folkston, Georgia and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theron Colon Gore, Sr.; one son, Lewis Snowden; and one daughter, Emma Snowden Thompson.

Survivors include four daughters, Lucy (Al) Rucker of Perry, GA, Belinda (Joe) Allen of Alma, GA, Patty (Roger) Kicklighter of Baxley, GA, and Debra Gore of Baxley, GA; five sons, T.C. (Diane) Gore, Jr. of Ellijay, GA, Alvis (Jan) Gore of Kempner, TX, Dwight (Joanne) Gore of Palatka, FL, Mack Snowden of Louisville, KY, David (Merlene) Gore of Baxley, GA, and one sister Ann Hewett of Jasper, FL. Thirteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild also survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Swain Funeral Home.   Reverend Cynthia Moseley will be officiating.

Interment will follow in Omega Cemetery.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be T.C.  Gore Jr., Alvis Gore, Dwight Gore, Mack Snowden, David Gore, and Davy Gore.

The family will be gathering at Mrs. Gore’s residence located at 260 Gore Lane Baxley, GA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
