Seaborn Bell Obituary

Seaborn Wallace Bell, 85, of Horseshoe Cove, Waverly, GA passed away early Saturday morning, February 6, 2021, at Appling Healthcare System in Baxley, following a brief illness.

Born in Gainesville, Florida April 6, 1935, he had lived in Temple Terrace, Florida prior to moving to Blackshear in 1972, where he lived for many years before moving to Waverly, Georgia thirty years ago. He was a graduate of the University of Florida with a BS in Animal Husbandry. He was engaged in residential development and construction, blueberry farming, co-founded and retired from Sundance Boats and was the former co-owner/operator of SeaMar Realty where he had offices in Blackshear, Waycross, and Douglas. His hobby was boating and saltwater fishing. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren boating, fishing and cast netting. He dearly loved them and was so very proud of them.

He was a son of the late Lester Aaron and Ella Edwina Johnson Bell. He was preceded in death by his brother, Larmar Aaron Bell and his sister, Sibyl Carroll.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Frances Irene Anderson Bell, Waverly, GA; two sons and daughters -in-law, Seaborn “Wally” Bell (Eva) of Fernandina Beach, FL and William “Rusty” Bell (Tarren) of Bristol GA; 4 grandchildren, Lindsay Mangieri (Lee), Wil Bell (Jenny), Aaron Bell, and Alexis Mills (Micah); two great-grandchildren, Troy and Emily Mangieri; one brother, Lester Bell, Jr., Albany GA; a sister-in-law, Esther Bell, Carrollton GA, sister-in-law Evelyn Beville, Gainesville FL; one brother-in-law, Richard Feaster, Plant City, FL and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

At this time, the family would like to express gratitude for the outpouring of love and support. A celebration of his life will be held at a future date.

Memorials may be made to the charity of choice.
