Thomas Aubrey "Tom" Herrin

Thomas Aubrey “Tom” Herrin, age 92, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Bacon County Hospital.

Mr. Herrin was born August 1, 1928 in Appling County to the late Oscar Dennis Herrin and the late Bessie Blanton Herrin.  He was a member of the Covenant Church and was a retired Equipment Operator with the Appling County Road Department.  Mr. Herrin was preceded in death by his wife, Ima Deen Fowler Herrin.  

Survivors include his son & daughter in law, Winton “Wink” & Jody Herrin of Baxley; grandchildren, Winton Thomas “Tohn” & Cherae Herrin, Jr. of Brunswick, Mason Thomas Herrin and James Rusty & Ashley Bracewell both Baxley; great-grandchildren, Jake Herrin, Jared Herrin, Bryson Bracewell, Katie Herrin, and Ragan Bracewell.  

A graveside service will be held Friday, October 2, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Earl Wiggins and Rev. Billy Bratton officiating.

Active Pallbearers will be Rusty Bracewell, Mason Herrin, Jake Herrin, Donna White, Joyce Kennedy and Melinda Daly.

Honorary Pallbearers will be all friends & family in attendance.

Arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
