William Alford "Al" Pearce, II

William Alford “Al” Pearce, II, age 59, of Surrency passed away Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah.

Mr. Pearce was born on December 18, 1962 in Bacon County and was a member of Zion Church of God.  He was a farmer, a certified mechanic and an avid fisherman and truck puller.  He was a member of the Southern Pullers Association.

Mr. Pearce was preceded in death by his wife, Angelina Coursey Pearce; father, Billy Pearce; paternal grandparents, Bill & Willie Pearce; and maternal grandparents, Dolvin & Nora Lee Gunter.

Survivors include his son, Tripp (Rachel) Pearce of Baxley; mother, Mary Pearce of Surrency; and granddaughters, Reagan Pearce and Olivia Pearce both of Baxley.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Zion Church of God with Rev. Danny Horne and Rev. Steve Statum officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Terry Jackson, Jody Arnold, Lee Fowler, Bryan Matthews, Jimmy Jackson, Pete Fowler and Philip Shabott.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service.
