Albert Lee Walton

Albert Lee Walton, age 86, of Pooler died Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah.

Mr.Walton was born May 8, 1931 in Appling County to the late Arthur Burton Walton and the late Dollie Johnson Walton.  He was a member of South Newington Baptist Church in Pooler.  Mr. Walton was a veteran of the United States Army having served in the Korean Conflict and was a retired Truck Driver for Pier 1 & Enterprise.  

Survivors include his wife Kathryn S. Walton of Pooler; five sons, David Walton & the late Lydia L. of Springfield, Daniel Walton & wife, Dawn of Guyton, Ernie Walton & wife, Kathy of Watkinsville, Alvin Walton & wife, Susan of Guyton and Donald Walton & wife, Jeanne of Chesapeake, VA; nineteen grandchildren & four great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Steve McCoy officiating.

Interment will follow in Appling Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Christian Walton, Cody Walton, Adam Walton, Scott Walton, Stephen Walton, Teddy Walton, Ray Walton & Nicholas Walton.

Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home, 901 W Hwy 80, West Chatham Chapel, Pooler & Saturday at 1:00 PM until funeral hour at Swain Funeral Home, Baxley.

Remembrances may be made to South Newington Baptist Church Building Fund, 453 John Carter Rd. Bloomingdale, Ga. 31302.
